Removal of Prominent and Experienced Professors from Universities and Their Replacement with Unqualified Individuals

The removal of prominent and experienced professors from universities and their replacement with unqualified individuals as faculty members has dealt a major blow to the body of universities.

The dismissal of seasoned and experienced professors who are critical of universities across the country began with the start of Raisi’s administration and, under various pretexts and justifications, the process of removal and dismissals intensified, causing enormous shock in the country’s academic community.

Among those being replaced at the university is Amir Hossein Sabeti, a presenter for Iran’s state radio and television and a member of the Resistance Front close to Saeed Jalili, who is set to teach the course “Islamic Revolution” at Sharif University, and Abbas Muzoun, another state radio and television presenter, will teach “Way of Life” to students at this university.

Abbas Abdi, a political analyst, responded to Amir Hossein Sabeti’s teaching by posting on his Twitter account: “Where does the revolution go when newcomers to the revolution become its standard-bearers? We didn’t need this one person entering the university, especially when true scholars and genuine revolutionaries are being dismissed from the other door.”

Abtin Golkar, a renowned translator and professor of Russian language at Tarbiat Modares University, also protested the removal of prominent professors and wrote on his Instagram page: “The fate of the wicked is clear, but dust must be cast upon the head of a minister who cannot even respond to the scandal that has occurred in his subordinate institutions. Dust must be cast upon that mother university that does not appreciate great figures like Milad Azimi and Vahid Eydgah Taraqabeh, and dust must be cast upon that defective-gene owner who sees Ali Sharifi Zarcheh as a thorn in his eye.”

Students of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at Tehran University, upon releasing the list of courses offered in the new semester, discovered the removal of 7 prominent professors from this university. They announced that replacing these professors with unqualified individuals in their classes would deal a major blow to this important and historic faculty of the country.

It should be noted that the “Resistance Front” team at the Supreme Council of the Islamic Cultural Revolution has planned the theory of eliminating 50,000 university professors by the end of Raisi’s administration. This team intends to place 50,000 new professors by Mehr month, coinciding with the start of classes at universities. This front is also seeking to transfer the National Organization for Educational Testing from the Ministry of Science under the Supreme Council of the Islamic Cultural Revolution so they can monitor student admissions to universities and change their admission based on political-ideological qualifications.
