National Call for Prayer and Fasting for Iran

The unfortunate events occurring in our country are a source of concern for us. The question is: what can we do in these critical circumstances?
Throughout different periods of history, many individuals have committed injustice and, in pursuit of power and eternal glory, have consumed the rights of the oppressed, shed their blood, and taken their lives.
During the time of Ahasuerus (Khashayarshah – King of Iran), Haman, who was the king’s minister, due to his hardheartedness and attainment of power, and out of the pride and arrogance within him, conspired and issued an order to destroy, kill, and exterminate all Jews – young and old, children and women – in a single day, and to plunder their possessions.
When this news reached Esther, who was queen, she told all the Jews to abstain from food and drink for three days and nights, and she herself would fast in solidarity with them regarding this decision, and after three days she would go before the king (Khashayarshah).
The unity in fasting and prayer caused that when Esther went before the king, God acted and the decree that had been written for the destruction of the Jews was broken, and God freed them and saved them. (To read this account, please refer to the Book of Esther in the Holy Bible).
Our Iran today is a reflection of this story. Injustice, hardheartedness, corruption, and so forth have reached a point where the answer to our oppressed and freedom-seeking fellow citizens has been bullets. Three days of prayer, fasting, and unity caused Esther to stand before the king.
We, the children of God, following His word, have also decided that, like Esther’s decision, from October 8th for 14 days, we will go into the tent of meeting before the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, to pray and intercede for Iran and the events that have occurred, and prepare ourselves for October 22nd (corresponding to Mehr 30th).
From October 8th, every day for 4 hours in the tent of meeting, believers from one country will lead prayer sessions.
On Saturday, October 22nd (corresponding to Mehr 30th), for 6 hours, in unity for the victory of light over darkness and the manifestation of Christ’s light, we will stand in fasting and prayer.
14:00 to 20:00 European time
