Deputy Head of Ibrahim Raisi’s Election Campaign Becomes Tehran Governor

The cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Iran introduced Mohsen Mansouri as the governor of Tehran on Sunday, October 9th.
Mansouri, who is 37 years old, served as the deputy of the coordinating council of Ibrahim Raisi’s election campaign headquarters during the 2021 presidential election.
Mohsen Mansouri had stated at that time that Ibrahim Raisi’s campaign headquarters were not seeking special privileges and were operating based on their assigned responsibilities.
Mohsen Mansouri was the governor of Varamin during Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s administration, and in recent years has been serving as the CEO of the Karamat Foundation of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza, appointed by Ibrahim Raisi.
