Official COVID-19 Statistics in Iran; 112 Deaths and Over 11,000 New Cases

According to official statistics, with 112 coronavirus patients dying in Iran in the past 24 hours, the total number of deaths from the disease in the country reached 83,329 people.
Domestic Iranian media, citing the Public Relations of the Ministry of Health, also reported that in the past 24 hours, 11,059 new coronavirus patients were identified in the country, of which 1,299 were hospitalized.
On this basis, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 3,128,395 people.
While the Iranian Ministry of Health refrains from providing detailed statistics, it provides daily figures regarding coronavirus infections and deaths to the media on a daily basis, statistics that independent sources have doubted the accuracy of.
According to the Ministry of Health announcement, there are currently 22 red-status cities and 175 orange-status cities, and based on the decisions of the National Coronavirus Combat Headquarters, travel to and from cities with red and orange status is prohibited. Additionally, 251 cities are in yellow status.
