Over 15,000 Iranians Have Purchased Homes in Turkey Over the Past Five Years

Turkey’s Statistical Institute reported that Iranian citizens are the second-largest foreign home buyers in Turkey after Iraq. According to these statistics, more than 15,000 Iranians have purchased homes in this country over the past five years.
In the latest statistics released by Turkey, over the past five years 6,944,616 residential units have been sold, with citizens from Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Russia constituting the largest foreign home buyers.
The highest volume of home sales occurred in 2017, when 1,409,314 residential units were sold.
According to the Anadolu News Agency, following the reduction of bank interest rates in Turkey this year, home sales have gained momentum again in the country. In just the past eight months alone, 1,244,434 residential units have been sold in Turkey.
Istanbul and Ankara have been the best-selling areas in Turkey’s real estate market. Over the past five years in this country, 155,000 residential units have been sold to foreign nationals.
Iraqis rank first among foreign property buyers in Turkey, followed respectively by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Kuwait as the largest foreign home buyers in Turkey.
Turkey’s Statistical Institute reported in its report that over the past five years, 15,083 Iranian nationals have purchased homes in Turkey.
