Aiming for Justice and Legal Accountability; “Association of Families of PS752 Flight Victims” Announces Its Formation

Hamed Esmaeiliyoun, a Canadian-based writer and dentist who lost his wife Parisa Eghbalian and his 9-year-old daughter Reera in the Ukrainian plane downing disaster by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, announced the formation of the “Association of Families of PS752 Flight Victims” by releasing a video.

Mr. Esmaeiliyoun, who has been introduced as the spokesperson of this association, declared in this video: “We hope that with a clear strategy and organized plan, we will seek justice from those responsible, commanders, cover-up perpetrators, and guilty parties in this crime, and we will see them before the court of law one day.”

Based on the statement of the “Association of Families of PS752 Flight Victims,” this association operates as an independent organization formed by the families of victims for the purpose of seeking justice.

Flight 752 of Ukraine International Airlines, which departed from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran on January 8, 2020 with 176 passengers en route to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, crashed minutes after takeoff due to a missile attack by the Guards in the vicinity of Parand New City in Tehran Province, and all passengers on board, who were mostly Iranian citizens, were killed.

Previously, one of the members of the victims’ families had stated that some of the families of the Ukrainian plane victims have filed complaints with the Ontario Superior Court in Canada against the leader of the Islamic Republic, the commander of the Guards, the commander of the Guards’ aerospace force, and several others.
