Six Thousand People Visit Tehran Hospitals and 400 Corona Patients Admitted

The commander of the Corona Combat Headquarters in Tehran says that on Wednesday, 6,390 people visited the capital’s hospitals and approximately 400 of them were hospitalized.
Alirezа Zali said: “The number of visitors to medical departments today was 6,390 people, which is a significant number, and from this total approximately 312 people needed hospitalization in general hospital wards and 81 patients were also admitted to special wards in Tehran hospitals”.
Mr. Zali did not announce the condition of people who were not hospitalized and whether they had symptoms of coronavirus infection or not.
He said that the number of new cases has a “gradual upward trend”.
In recent days, medical officials from several Iranian provinces, including Azerbaijan and Mazandaran, had expressed concerns about the occurrence of a second wave of coronavirus spread after some restrictions were lifted.
Nevertheless, Saeid Namaki, the Health Minister, said on Wednesday that the number of daily cases of infection decreased by 53 percent and the number of deaths also decreased by 30 percent.
Previously, some parliamentarians and members of the city council had accused the Ministry of Health of concealing statistics about deaths and cases of coronavirus.
