Contract Teachers and Preschool Educators Hold Protest Rally Outside Parliament

A number of contract teachers and preschool educators gathered in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in protest against the non-implementation of the law on recruitment in education.
According to ILNA news agency, at this rally held on Sunday, July 23, a group of preschool educators from across the country demanded the implementation of a parliamentary resolution regarding the conversion of preschool educators to teaching staff status.
Contract teachers gathered in front of parliament also protested the fact that despite years of teaching experience, they were not included in the education recruitment capacity.
In recent years, educators have held numerous protest rallies to object to the government and parliament’s failure to respond to their demands, during which a number of union activists and protesters were arrested.
