US Allows Three Non-Military Nuclear Projects in Iran to Continue

The US allows three nuclear projects in Bushehr, Arak, and Fordow to continue.
According to Reuters, the US State Department announced on Monday that with the reimposition of severe economic sanctions against Iran, the US will allow these non-military nuclear projects to continue under strict supervision.
The US has reimposed sanctions on Iran’s oil, banking, and transportation sectors to end Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and reduce Iran’s influence in the Middle East.
The US State Department said it will not issue any exemptions for new non-military nuclear projects in Iran.
In its statement, the US State Department stated that the permission given for limited nuclear projects is for a temporary period and relates to projects currently underway that prevent Iran’s ability to reconstitute its nuclear weapons program and lock in the current nuclear situation until a stronger agreement that addresses all of our concerns is reached.
