Latest status of Manouchehr Bakhtiari in prison; first phone call after 22 days of absence
همسر منوچهر بختیاری، پدر پویا بختیاری از جانباختگان اعتراضات آبان ماه ۹۸، که اوایل اردیبهشت ماه توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شده بود میگوید، توانسته است با همسر خود گفتگویی تلفنی داشته باشد.
سارا عباسی، همسر منوچهر بختیاری با انتشار ویدئویی در شبکههای اجتماعی اعلام کرده است که ۲۲ روز پس از بازداشت همراه با خشونت آقای بختیاری توانسته است با همسر خود تماسی کوتاه برقرار کند.
سارا عباسی با اشاره به اینکه آقای بختیاری کماکان در بازداشت بهسر میبرد و پرونده او در دست بررسی است، گفت: «صداش ضعیف بود اما همانقدر که صداش را شنیدم و از سلامتیش آگاه شدم بسیار خوشحالم.»
مهرداد بختیاری، برادر منوچهر بختیاری پیشتر به صدای آمریکا گفته بود که نیروهای امنیتی روز پنجشنبه ۹ اریبهشت ماه با هجوم به منزل برادرش، وی را مورد ضرب و جرح شدید قرار دادند، به شکل خشونتآمیزی در صندوق عقب ماشین گذاشتند، و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل کردند.
This is not the first time that Manouchehr Bakhtiari or other members of his family have been arrested. He was first arrested by security forces on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the November 2019 protests, along with some other members of his family. Mr. Bakhtiari was subsequently arrested many times by security forces and was temporarily released after posting bail.
Pouya Bakhtiari, the son of Manouchehr Bakhtiari and one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, is in Iran. He was shot while marching with other family members on the second day of protests against the increase in gasoline prices and died before reaching the hospital.
The US State Department has repeatedly and on various occasions condemned the violent confrontations and widespread repression of protesters, as well as the repeated and persistent violations of the rights of Iranian citizens by the Islamic Republic.
