Iranians in Stockholm Protest Against NIAC

Iranians residing in Stockholm gathered to protest the presence of Rozbeh Parsi, the brother of former NIAC chairman Trita Parsi, at a seminar.

Rozbeh Parsi, brother of Trita Parsi (former chairman of NIAC), traveled to Sweden to participate in a conference about the Iranian uprising; however, Iranians residing in Stockholm gathered outside the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs building and chanted slogans, preventing this person from giving a speech about events in Iran.

People declared that NIAC, which is an American organization that lobbies with the Islamic Republic, does not represent the voice of the Iranian people. During this time, an Iranian woman entered the conference building and shouted that “you are not us and not our voice,” which drew applause from those present, and attendees demanded his departure with the chant “Rozbeh, be ashamed, leave Sweden.”

This angry woman also declared in her shouts that she had been beaten with batons by the Islamic Republic.

With these protests and public anger toward NIAC, what will become of NIAC?
