Number of executed in Bandar Abbas Prison increases to two

HRANA News Agency – Early on Sunday, September 26, the sentence of a prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges was carried out in Bandar Abbas Prison. Including this prisoner, the number of those executed in Bandar Abbas Prison yesterday increased to two.
According to HRANA news agency, citing Hal Vash, at dawn on Sunday, September 26, 1402, a prisoner was executed in Bandar Abbas Prison.
The prisoner's identity has been given as "Saeed Sabaki, 27 years old, son of Mirdar, married with three children, from and residing in Mohammadabad, Iranshahr."
This prisoner was transferred to one of the solitary cells of Bandar Abbas Prison on Friday, September 25, to serve his sentence.
The report quotes an informed source as saying: “Saeed Sabaki was arrested in Bandar Abbas in 2018 and sentenced to death by the city’s Revolutionary Court on drug-related charges.”
Yesterday, the official news agency reported the execution of another prisoner in Bandar Abbas prison. Including this prisoner, the number of people executed in Bandar Abbas prison yesterday increased to two.
As of the time of writing this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the media inside Iran or official sources.
According to the annual report of the Center for Statistics, Publications and Works of the Human Rights Activists' Association in Iran, at least 299 citizens were executed and 85 others were sentenced to death between January 1, 2021 and December 20, 2021. Among those executed, four child criminals were executed.
According to the same report, more than 88 percent of executions carried out in Iran are not reported by the government or judicial institutions, which human rights organizations call "secret" executions.
