15-year-old girl attempts suicide in Kermanshah

On Wednesday, September 12, a 15-year-old teenage girl in Kermanshah attempted to commit suicide by throwing herself from the fifth floor of a building, but was prevented from doing so by the intervention of firefighters. The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.
According to HRANA News Agency, citing Rokna, yesterday, Wednesday, September 1, 2020, a 15-year-old teenage girl in Kermanshah who was planning to commit suicide by throwing herself off a building was saved.
Keyvan Maleki, the commander of the operation, said: “On Wednesday evening, citizens contacted the 125 system to report a suicide attempt by a teenage girl in Kermanshah.”
He added: "Rescue teams from Fire Stations No. 5 and 7 were dispatched to the reported location in the Isar Complex, along with a jumping mattress from the central station."
Keyvan Maleki continued: "The 15-year-old girl, who was in a state of severe mental stress, was calmed down with the guidance and talks of experienced firefighter personnel and special methods and was transferred down from the fifth floor of the complex."
The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
