Iran: One of the main topics of the Pence-Harris debate

Topics such as coronavirus, racism, climate change, and relations with China and Iran were central issues in the second televised debate of the US presidential election. Part of the debate was dedicated to the JCPOA and Qassem Soleimani.
The second round of the US presidential election televised debate, with the participation of Trump and Biden's vice presidents, was held on Wednesday evening, October 7, in Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah. Although the televised debate of the vice presidents of the US election is not as important as the debate of the main candidates, it was considered important after Trump contracted the coronavirus.
Topics such as coronavirus, racism, climate change, and relations with China and Iran were raised in this televised debate.
In the coronavirus debate, Kamala Harris, while pointing to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the United States, attacked the Trump administration's policies, saying that it had failed to confront and manage the coronavirus. Pence, on the other hand, defended Trump's policies, saying that the president closed the borders in a timely manner and blocked travel from China, preventing the spread of the virus.
Vice President Joe Biden criticized Trump's foreign policy, saying that Trump has isolated the United States and made it more insecure with his policies. He emphasized that America's friends have been betrayed and that Trump has allied himself with dictators around the world.
Kamala Harris criticized the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, saying that by doing so, Iran would increase its nuclear stockpiles.
Trump's vice president said Iran is the "largest state sponsor of terrorism." Comparing America's relationship with Iran during the Obama and Trump eras, Jens said that during the presidency of Barack Obama and his vice president, Joe Biden, money was given to such a country, but during the Trump era, Qassem Soleimani was killed.
According to Pence, Qassem Soleimani was killed while traveling to Baghdad to kill American citizens.
In response to Pence, Kamala Harris referred to the Iranian missile attacks and said that a number of American troops suffered concussions in those attacks, but Trump downplayed the incident and called it a "headache."
Donald Trump did not tweet about his vice president's debate, but Joe Biden's campaign made a point of a fly landing on Mike Pence's head during the debate. The campaign posted a picture of Biden with a fly swatter and asked for donations to his campaign.
Senator Kamala Harris, 55, is the first black American woman to run for president as a running mate for a major candidate. The lawyer previously served as San Francisco district attorney and California attorney general. Her mother is Indian and her father is Jamaican. She is the second black woman in US history to be elected to the Senate.
Mike Pence, 61, is also a lawyer. He previously served as governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017.
