Arrest of "Forough Khosravi", a Behbahan education teacher

"Forough Khosravi", an education teacher from the city of Behbahan, was arrested by the IRGC's intelligence forces.

According to reports published on social media, yesterday, Tuesday, August 27, Intelligence Corps forces raided the private home of Forough Khosravi, a citizen of Lor and a teacher of education in Behban, Khuzestan Province, and after arresting him, transferred him to an unknown location.

According to informed sources close to Forough Khosravi, the IRGC intelligence forces arrested her without any judicial warrant and only with violence and assault. Ms. Khosravi has a PhD in education and has a teaching background, but was expelled from Payam Noor University in Bandar Imam after the 2009 protests.

According to reports on the Telegram channel of the "Coordination Council of Teachers' Unions of Iran", on June 19 of this year, six IRGC intelligence agents, accompanied by two female agents, entered Forough Khosravi's home without a warrant and, after searching her home, confiscated her cell phone and some of her personal belongings, which caused fear and panic in their home.

After the officers raided her home without a warrant and searched her home, Ms. Khosravi filed a complaint against them, but Ruhollah Farzadnasab, the investigator of Branch 2 of the Behbahan Prosecutor's Office, issued a restraining order and acquitted the officers.

It should be noted that as of the time of writing this report, there is no information about the reasons for the arrest, the charges brought against Forough Khosravi, or even where she is being held. The Islamic Republic regime has repeatedly arrested ordinary citizens of any minority or ethnicity on false charges, including “acting against national security,” “propaganda against the system,” or “preaching Zionist Christianity,” and has transferred them to unknown locations for long periods of time, and then sent them to court and then to prison on the same false charges. In addition, it has sentenced them to heavy fines, deprivation of social rights, and a ban on leaving the country.
