The uncertainty of Christian citizen Parvin Ghadiani in Karaj's Kachhui Prison

Parvin Ghadiani, a Christian citizen, is still in limbo after three months of detention in Karaj's Kachou Prison.

Parvin Ghadiani was arrested by security forces in mid-January of last year (1403 AH) and, after being interrogated in one of the security detention centers in Karaj, was transferred to Kachhui Prison.

Now, after three months in Kachhai prison, she is still in limbo. According to one of Ms. Ghadiani's relatives, the reason for her arrest is her preaching of Christianity.

His arrest took place while the constitution of the Islamic Republic recognizes Christians as a religious minority, but Muslims who convert to Christianity are treated harshly, are detained and interrogated, and in most cases are given heavy sentences, including fines, long-term imprisonment, exile, deprivation of social rights, etc.

According to Article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the right to freedom of religion or belief, and freedom to manifest it, either individually or in community with others and in public or in private, to manifest his or her religion or belief in public or private. Iran is a signatory to this Covenant, but it continues to suppress, detain, and issue harsh sentences against them with increasing severity.
