Another case against Narges Mohammadi begins, while the prison and flogging sentences are confirmed

At the same time as Narges Mohammadi's sentence of 30 months in prison, 80 lashes, and a fine was confirmed by Branch 11 of the Criminal Enforcement Agency, this civil activist in Iran announced that another case against her had been opened in Branch 2 of the Evin Prison Investigation Department.
Narges Mohammadi, vice president and spokesperson for the Center for Human Rights Defenders, posted on Instagram the news of her prison and flogging sentence being confirmed, writing that since the beginning of this case, she has repeatedly declared it "shameless and cruel" and will defy the sentence that was handed down to her.
Ms. Mohammadi stated that she did not attend any judicial authority or trial, and did not have a defense attorney. Regarding her flogging sentence, she said that she would not allow "agents of the religious authoritarian regime" to carry out the flogging sentence and would resist as long as she could.
The civil activist further added that he will not go to prison and will protest inside the prison if he is forcibly returned to prison.
Taghi Rahmani, Narges Mohammadi's husband, announced in early June that the human rights activist had been sentenced by Branch 1177 of the Criminal Court of the Second Judicial Complex of Quds, Tehran, to 80 lashes, 30 months in prison, and two cash fines on charges of propaganda against the regime through publishing statements, holding a sit-in in the prison office, disobeying the prison director and officials, destroying windows, and slandering the accusation of torture and assault.
