More than 15,000 Iranians have bought homes in Türkiye in the past five years.

The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported that Iranian citizens are the largest foreign home buyers in Turkey after Iraq. According to the statistics, more than 15,000 Iranians have bought homes in the country in the past five years.

According to the latest statistics provided by Turkey, 6,944,616 residential units have been sold in the past five years, and citizens of Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Russia constitute the largest foreign home buyers.

The highest number of housing sales occurred in 2017, when 1,409,314 residential units were sold.

According to Anadolu Agency, housing sales in Turkey have rebounded following a reduction in bank interest rates this year. In the past eight months alone, 1,24,434 housing units have been sold in Turkey.

Istanbul and Ankara have been the best-selling regions in the Turkish housing market, with 155,000 homes sold to foreigners in the past five years.

Iraqis top the list of foreign property buyers in Turkey, followed by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Kuwait.

The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported that 15,083 Iranian citizens have purchased homes in Türkiye over the past five years.
