Fifty Catholic and Anglican bishops are set to gather in Rome, Italy, for the Week of Christian Unity.
Fifty Catholic and Anglican bishops from 27 countries are set to gather in Rome, Italy, for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a global gathering of bishops around the world to work together to build and strengthen unity among Christians, according to the Vatican.
The meeting is being organised by the Anglican and Roman Catholic International Commission for Unity and Mission. Dr Christopher Wells, a member of the Anglican Office of Religious Affairs, said: “The practical steps and holding of the events during Unity Week show that the unity of Christians around the world is of particular importance to the churches.”
