Livelihood protests continue in Iran; retirees in various cities, steel workers in Ahvaz, and livestock farmers in Yazd

Ahvaz Steel workers stopped work for the second consecutive day on Monday, February 15, and held a march to protest the failure to meet their demands for a salary increase and the resolution of their livelihood problems.
According to citizen reports, the protesting workers chanted the slogan "Steel worker, unity, unity" and called on their other colleagues to join the protests.
Karim Siahi, one of the protesters, emphasized in a speech that "God's victory is near," adding: "One truth can never be erased, and that is our struggle."
Protesting Ahvaz Steel workers gathered in front of the governor's office after receiving instructions, while at the same time, municipal workers gathered in front of the governor's office to protest the non-payment of their arrears. The two protesting worker groups joined forces and chanted the slogan "Steel, Municipality, Unity, Unity."
In another incident on Monday, Yazd livestock farmers held a protest rally in front of the city's slaughterhouse and declared a strike.
One protester stated that the Minister of Agricultural Jihad "has put livestock farmers to work with beautiful and colorful promises" and with "promises of harvest" has caused "all their productive livestock" to be destroyed over the past few months.
This protesting livestock farmer, stating that the protesters are addressing the people, and pointing out that "we livestock farmers are suffocating the producers," emphasized: "We ourselves have come as a spontaneous movement to say that they have endangered the food security of our country. We ourselves have gone on strike to say that in the coming years, don't go and buy meat for 700,000 tomans per kilo."
