Trump signs executive order withdrawing US from JCPOA

US President Donald Trump signed the document to withdraw the country from the JCPOA and said he would soon order the reimposition of sanctions against Iran. Hassan Rouhani also said that from now on, the JCPOA agreement is between Iran and the five countries.
After finishing his speech in front of the White House, the US President signed an executive order withdrawing from the JCPOA, stating that the United States would withdraw from the deal.
Parts of Trump's speech about the JCPOA:
* The Iranian people deserve a government that can respect their aspirations. Iran's leaders say they will not negotiate again, but that is not the case, they will seek a lasting agreement, and when they are ready, I will be ready to negotiate with them.
* We are all united in our determination to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb. We cannot do this within the framework of this rotten agreement.
* The US is withdrawing from the JCPOA and I will order the reimposition of sanctions on Iran soon. No one can hold the US hostage.
* My action today sends a very important message. America does not make empty promises.
* We are all united in our determination to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb. We cannot do this within the framework of this rotten agreement.
* The nuclear deal failed to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. Iran's bloody ambitions only became more brazen after this deal.
* On paper, the JCPOA was supposed to protect America's security against nuclear madness, but in practice, the JCPOA brought Iran to the brink of acquiring a nuclear weapon.
* We have irrefutable evidence that Iran's promises were lies. Last week, Israel showed evidence that Iran was seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.
* I want to inform the world of our efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The Iranian government is a leader in supporting terrorism.
* The Iranian government has supported chaos and terrorism by plundering the resources of its own nation and country.
* US President Donald Trump reacted sharply on Twitter a few hours ago to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's talks with former US Secretary of State John Kerry.
* Trump wrote on Twitter that John Kerry cannot deny the fact that he had a chance but blew it.
* Trump added, "John, get out of the negotiations, you're hurting your country."
Hassan Rouhani's reaction to the US withdrawal from the JCPOA
Immediately after Donald Trump's speech, Hassan Rouhani appeared on Iranian state television and reacted to the US president's decision.
Parts of Hassan Rouhani's speech:
* Tonight we witnessed an important historical experience. In the same words that we have been saying and repeating for forty years, namely that Iran is a country that adheres to its commitments and America is a country that has never adhered to its commitments.
* Our past forty years of history and even before that have told us well that the Americans have always had a hostile attitude towards the great nation of Iran and towards the nations of the region. From the coup against the legitimate government of Mossadegh, to supporting Saddam, as well as the downing of a passenger plane and the killing of innocent people by an American ship, to actions taken against the people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, the Middle East and North Africa.
* The Americans announced tonight that they have withdrawn from the JCPOA.
* The Iranian nation, according to the international agency, has been faithful to its commitment. The Iranian government has fulfilled all its commitments in the JCPOA, but today we are witnessing who is the country that does not respect international commitments. The JCPOA was not an agreement between Iran and the United States that the United States wanted to announce that it was withdrawing from. The JCPOA was a multilateral and international agreement. The JCPOA was approved by the UN Security Council. Therefore, the United States officially announced tonight that it is not adhering to international commitments.
* We will not let Trump succeed in psychological warfare or economic pressure on the Iranian nation.
* We will begin our industrial enrichment if necessary. We will wait a few weeks before implementing this decision and will consult with our friends and allies and those who are loyal to their signature. Everything depends on securing our national interests.
* From this moment on, the JCPOA agreement is between Iran and five countries. From this moment on, five plus one has lost one. We must wait to see how the six major world powers will act. I have ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold the necessary consultations and negotiations with the three European countries, China, and Russia within a few weeks. If we reach the conclusion in this short period of time that we can guarantee our interests within the framework of the JCPOA, despite the opinion of the United States and Israel and Trump's rude words tonight, we will remain in the JCPOA. And if not, I will soon talk to the Iranian people and inform them of the regime's decisions.
* Our people should not have any concerns. We had concluded weeks ago that Trump would not be loyal to the JCPOA, and based on this, we made the necessary economic decisions. Currency decisions will be made on this basis.
* We will provide the country with the foreign exchange it needs in the future. We will not have any shortages in basic goods that the people need.
* I assure the nation that the government has been preparing for all situations for months and we will not face any acute problems. Our people will not feel any problems in their daily lives in the days, months and years to come.
* Tonight, I am sorry that the American people, who are a great people, have been caught up in a regime that has trampled on their dignity, and on the other hand, I am happy that a nuisance has been removed from the JCPOA.
