Determining the time and branch of the hearing on Reza Sharafkhani's charges

HRANA News Agency – The hearing on the charges against Reza Sharafkhani, secretary of the Iran-Iraq War Compensation Center and Committee, will be held on June 14 at Branch 3 of the Mashhad Dispute Resolution Council. This case was opened with a complaint from the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation.
According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, Reza Sharafkhani was summoned to the Mashhad Dispute Resolution Council through a notification.
In this notice, Mr. Sharafkhani was asked to appear before Branch 3 of the Mashhad Dispute Resolution Council on June 14, 2022, on charges of “insulting officials and officials, slander and spreading lies, and disrupting public order and peace.”
This case was opened with a complaint from the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation against Mr. Sharafkhani.
Reza Sharafkhani, secretary of the Iran-Iraq War Compensation Center and Committee, along with Hamid Vahedi and Hossein Mahmoudi, had previously been summoned by the security police on June 1. Mr. Sharafkhani was summoned to the security police for the third time in May of this year. His summons was made following a complaint by Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Vice President and Head of the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation.
As of the time of writing this report, there is no precise information available about the reasons for his summons. However, it is said that his summons was made following a nationwide call by victims of the Iran-Iraq war to follow up on the implementation of paragraphs 6 and 7 of Resolution 598.
