We Have Experienced Unprecedented Inflation Since World War II

“Anvar Habibzadeh Bokani,” a parliamentary representative, commented on the inflation rate, stating: We have experienced unprecedented inflation since World War II.

Habibzadeh, in a speech during the last days of Esfand 1401 in parliament that was not published by social media outlets but recently appeared on social pages, criticized the government. In response to remarks made by Raisi (the Iranian presidency) who had previously stated that the speed of the train of national development and prosperity was increasing, he said: “They promised to reduce the inflation rate, stop monetary growth, and improve the people’s living conditions.

They promised that one million jobs would be created annually, they promised the train of national development would move rapidly, but in practice, the train of inflation in food items has braked hard. We have experienced unprecedented inflation since World War II. Eggs at 100,000 tomans per dozen have disappeared from people’s tables, and cooking oil has become 12 times more expensive. Red meat has become a dream for the majority of society; we are witnessing the economic genocide of our dear nation’s people. The population below the poverty line is growing and the consumption of the middle class is declining.

The train of unemployment among educated people and university graduates is moving at high speed. The Statistical Center of Iran says that from spring 1400 to spring 1401, ninety-eight thousand jobs have been lost in the country. Massive capital outflows, inability to attract foreign investors, and inefficiency in domestic investment have caused fixed capital in 1401 to reach negative sixty billion. According to a report from the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the budget deficit rate at the end of the year is more than 300 trillion tomans.”

Anvar Habibzadeh raised many other problems of Iran in this speech. He spoke about inefficiency in providing drinking water to rising dollar rates and the breaking of people’s backs under economic pressure.

More details from Anvar Habibzadeh’s speech can be seen in the video below.

With Habibzadeh’s harsh criticism of the government, one can guess that parliamentary representatives are also joining the people’s protests and revolution. It seems that a collapse is also occurring in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and this joining and unity with the people is the key to the success of the people’s revolution.
