The Islamic Republic again arrested three people on charges of links to "counter-revolutionary elements"

The Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Robat Karim announced that three people were arrested in the city on charges of “association with counter-revolutionary elements.” According to Fars, Mohammad Hossein Qasempour said that this “gang of three” had ties to “counter-revolutionary elements,” but were ultimately arrested in the cities of Robat Karim and Nasirshahr.
For a long time, the Islamic Republic's security and judicial institutions have been arresting and imprisoning individuals under pretexts such as "media relations" or "counter-revolution." Most of these individuals do not enjoy the rights of political defendants and are tried in secret, without a jury, in the Revolutionary Court.
In some cases, it is later revealed that no crime has occurred.
Not much information is available about these three people, but Qasempour, the Public Prosecutor and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Robat Karim, claimed that the three were "inciting controversy and sending media feeds to hostile networks" in exchange for money.
According to a report by Amnesty International, in 2018, more than seven thousand people, including participants in demonstrations, students, journalists, women's rights activists, environmental activists, labor activists, and ethnic and religious minority rights activists, were arrested in Iran, and hundreds were sentenced to prison.
