Jahangiri: Even Iran's friendly countries don't dare to buy oil

Iran's First Vice President has once again announced economic prosperity and bright prospects, but at the same time said that even Iran's close friends and neighbors do not dare to buy oil from Iran.
Eshaq Jahangiri, Iran's First Vice President, has said that US sanctions pressure has made even countries friendly to Iran almost "not dare" to buy oil from the country.
Jahangiri, who was speaking today, Monday, December 1, coinciding with the "23rd National Export Day," did not deny the economic turmoil in the Islamic Republic due to oil sanctions, but stated that despite these sanctions, Iran's oil exports have not reached zero and the government is resorting to other methods to sell oil.
He did not elaborate on “other methods” of selling oil.
Sanctions on the Islamic Republic's oil and petrochemical industries began two years ago by order of the US President, and in the first phase, severe bans and restrictions were imposed on the sale and export of petrochemical products. Petrochemicals are Iran's most important export product after oil.
Jahangiri acknowledged that "Iranian exporters cannot even move the money for their exported products," and considered the decision-making and policy-making process not always correct, saying that officials "may sometimes" make mistakes.
Jahangiri also spoke once again about standing firm and resisting in difficult circumstances. Some time ago, he had considered Iran's economic situation to be in need of surgery and apologized to the Iranian people for the precarious economic situation, saying, "We are ashamed of the people."
Some Iranian media outlets have reported in recent weeks that many small and large domestic industries and businesses have closed. The most important reason for these closures has been the inability of their owners to cover costs and purchase raw materials.
