Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat: Iranian IRGC commander threatens Saudi Arabia

According to FCNN, the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, by taking a different view of the statements of General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and addressing some of them in its today's issue, claimed: "The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened Saudi Arabia in response to Riyadh's recent move to include the name of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement on the list of terrorist organizations."

Jafari announced: “We will not leave the Saudi action unanswered and have prepared plans for this purpose. We will defend Hezbollah in Lebanon with all our might and seek to strengthen the movement’s position in Lebanon and the region.”

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat continued by claiming that Iran is seeking to ignite the fire of war in Yemen, writing: “While the entire region is seeking to stop the war in Yemen, Jafari declares that we will not leave the Yemeni people alone and that the sword of Ansar Allah will become sharper in the future.”

The Saudi newspaper also claimed: “The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, while supporting the dissemination of the country’s Islamic revolutionary ideology, emphasized the necessity of engineering the revolution and expanding its inclusion in the international arena.”

The newspaper concluded the article by writing: “Jaafari is trying to justify Iran’s military intervention in Syria. He declared: “Iran’s participation in Syria is a response to the strategy of Britain, America and the Zionist regime. They want to divide Syria.”
