Beatings, whippings, and burning of body; Sabzevari child's toe amputated due to multiple abuses
Two toes of Daniyal, a child who had been abused by his father and stepmother in Sabzevar for the past few days, were amputated during surgery as diagnosed by the attending physician. Daniyal's father and stepmother had subjected him to numerous abuses, such as beatings, whippings, pouring boiling water on his feet, and burning his body with hot forks and lighters. The perpetrators of the child abuse were arrested in recent days by order of the Sabzevar prosecutor.
According to HRANA News Agency, citing Rokna, on Friday, March 26, 2020, 9-year-old Daniyal lost two toes on his foot following abuse by his father and stepmother.
According to the report and according to the child's uncle, Daniyal's father and stepmother would take him to the bathroom, put his feet in boiling water, and pull his hair. Also, traces of burns can be seen from Daniyal's shoulders to his chest.
He continued: "They worked together to beat Daniel with a hose and harassed him with hot forks, whips, and lighters."
The child was legally returned to his father nine months ago and had been abused at his home since June of this year until a few days ago.
Sabzevar police arrested Daniyal's stepmother and father some time after the child's video and photos were published online.
The child is currently hospitalized at Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Sabzevar.
