The necessity of teaching foreign languages in seminaries to propagate the messages of religion and Sharia

Hojjatoleslam Ismail Roshantan spoke about the necessity of teaching foreign languages in seminaries to promote and propagate religion and Sharia.

At the second gathering of literature professors with the directors of the International Educational and Research Complex of Seminaries in Tabriz, Hojjatoleslam Ismail Roshantan pointed out the importance of language for expanding, developing, and promoting Islamic law and religion, and stated: "Communicating the messages of religion and law requires strengthening students and scholars who can take on this very great responsibility for those thirsty for this knowledge in all parts of the world."

"For us as teachers who are concerned with educating the companions of the end times, being content with one main language and the language of our birthplace may not be justified in the context of rapid changes and developments in societies, and learning different languages to convey the message of religion is an inevitable necessity."

Referring to 270 language learners in East Azerbaijan, he continued: "Some people may want to learn a language only for economic or material reasons or for their spiritual needs, but learning different foreign languages is an undeniable necessity for students as religious missionaries because of the great responsibility of communicating religion."

It should be noted that learning the language and strengthening students who are educated in the Islamic school are very effective in creating effective communication in a world that requires different types of communication and exchange of messages.

Hojjatoleslam Roshantan's words about propagating Islam throughout the world and exchanging various messages came at a time when the Islamic Republic regime has arrested many Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Baha'is on charges of their beliefs, religious propaganda, and deviant teachings against the system, and has sentenced them to long-term imprisonment, exile, heavy fines, torture, and in some cases, death. However, it itself intends to promote Islam and impose Islamic beliefs on people all over the world.

At the end of his speech, Roshantan added: "Today, we cannot stop at one language, because this method means closing and closing the gates of various sciences. So now, more than ever, we must take action to learn a second language, which is the priority of all of us, the language of religion and the Quran, which is Arabic. If we convey the correct idea of the language issue to our students, this idea will also lead to correct recognition."
