Lack of work safety; death and injury of 4 workers in different cities

HRANA News Agency – Due to the lack of environmental safety and working conditions, 4 workers in the cities of Yasuj, Shabestar, and Shadegan had accidents while working. During these accidents, 3 workers lost their lives and another worker was injured. Iran ranks 102nd among the countries in the world in terms of compliance with work safety issues, which is a very low rank.

According to HRANA news agency, citing ISNA, today, Tuesday, April 2, 1402, the public relations officer for the 115th Emergency Service of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces announced the death of a road worker from the Road Management and Transportation Department of Boyer-Ahmad city due to an accident while working.

Mohammad Amin Nikoei identified the deceased road worker as Gharib Khodadadi, 56 years old, from Darreh Chenar village, Malayer County, Hamadan Province.

Nikoei stated in this regard: At 11:54 a.m. today, within one and a half kilometers of the Shiraz-Yasuj road police station and on the Yasuj-Isfahan ring road, a collision between a Samand car and a traffic officer who was carrying out road cleaning and securing operations was reported to the Yasuj emergency medical services.

He added: "Then an emergency team from Sarabtavah was dispatched to the scene of the accident, and when they arrived at the injured man's bedside, they saw that due to the high speed of the car and the injuries inflicted on the traffic policeman, he had lost his life instantly."

Death of two workers in Shabestar

According to Hamshahri Online, on Sunday, March 19, 2021, two workers in Shabestar died in an accident while working.

The deputy police commander of Shabestar County said in this regard: "Following receiving news from the 110 police emergency center about an electric shock incident in one of the Shirin Asal Company factories, officers from Shabestar Police Station 11 were immediately dispatched to the scene of the incident."

Nasser Derakhshan added: "Unfortunately, in this incident, two workers, aged 32 and 38, who were cleaning and washing the production hall, were electrocuted due to a connection to the hall's electrical system."

The law enforcement official stated that despite the efforts of doctors, the two workers died in the hospital, adding: "Further investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing."

Worker injured in Shadegan

According to the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, on Saturday night, March 18, 2021, a worker was injured in an explosion at the Shadegan Steel Factory while working.

The head of the Shadegan City Gas Company said in this regard: "At 11:15 p.m. last night, a nitrogen gas tanker collided with objects inside the Shadegan Steel Factory, causing an explosion in the Shadegan Steel Company's nitrogen tank."

He added: "The tanker driver was injured in this accident."
