Mike Pompeo: The Iranian regime spends the country's wealth on terrorism and says it has no money to take care of its people

The US Secretary of State says that while Islamic Republic officials say they do not have the money to provide medicine for the Iranian people, we know that they are spending the country's wealth on terrorism.
Mike Pompeo made this statement in an interview with Larry O'Connor's radio show on Thursday, May 25, and the text of the interview was published on the US State Department's website.
He said: "The Iranians continue to support terrorism, whether it's Hezbollah in Lebanon or Shiite militias in Iraq, spending all the country's money on these dangerous activities."
The US Secretary of State further emphasized that all of this is happening while the Iranian regime claims it does not have enough money to take care of its own people and calls for sanctions relief.
Mike Pompeo noted that we know very well how the Islamic Republic's officials are squandering the country's wealth and spending the Iranian people's money to support terrorism.
On the same day, in an interview with Fox News, Mr. Pompeo said: "The Iranians launched a military satellite-carrying missile. They had promised that their entire satellite program and related missile program would be civilian, but the person in charge of launching this missile was Hajizadeh, the commander of the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and he is the same person whose forces targeted a passenger plane just a few weeks ago, killing 176 innocent people."
