Shohreh Hosseini, a translator and civil activist who has been detained in Evin Prison for the past 18 days, has been faced with the case investigator's opposition to posting bail. On Saturday, December 29, after appearing at the Evin Prosecutor's Office, Ms. Hosseini was faced with an increased bail amount and transferred to Evin Prison.

According to HRANA, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, Shohreh Hosseini, a translator and civil activist detained in Evin Prison, remains in detention despite the authorities' refusal to grant her bail.

A source familiar with Ms. Hosseini's situation told HRANA: "Last week, Ms. Hosseini told her family in a short phone call that she would apparently have to remain in detention until the trial. She also called her family twice this week to say hello. Since Monday, December 1, the investigator in the case has refused to accept the bail order and release Ms. Hosseini, despite setting bail."

Shohreh Hosseini was arrested by IRGC intelligence agents on October 2 of this year and transferred to the institution's detention center, known as Ward 2A of Evin Prison. On October 5, she was temporarily released after posting a bail of 500 million Tomans, pending the completion of the trial.

At the time of his arrest, the officers confiscated and took away a number of his personal belongings, including a laptop, cell phone, and personal documents.

The charges brought against Ms. Hosseini during her interrogation included collaboration with a group hostile to the regime and propaganda against the regime.

He was summoned again on December 28 to Branch 2 of the Evin Prosecutor's Office, headed by Judge Haji Moradi, but after appearing at the prosecutor's office, his bail was increased to 1 billion Tomans and he was arrested. After his arrest, he was transferred to Evin Prison.
