Navid Afkari, in a call from prison, reported being beaten again.

A political activist in Iran says that Iranian wrestler Navid Afkari has contacted his family and said that he has been tortured in prison.
Political activist Mehdi Mahmoudian wrote on his Twitter account that Navid Afkari had announced in a brief call that he and his two brothers were being held in the same location.
According to Mehdi Mahmoudian, Navid Afkari also explained that he was beaten in prison and should go to a forensic doctor, but prison officials have refused to hand over the complaint form.
Navid Afkari, the Iranian junior runner-up who was arrested following the August 2018 protests, has been sentenced to two executions, six and a half years in prison, and 74 lashes for the murder of a security officer. His brothers Vahid and Habib have also been sentenced to 54 and 27 years in prison with lashes, respectively.
As domestic and foreign calls to overturn Navid Afkari's death sentence increase, his lawyer, Hassan Younesi, announced on Saturday that the three brothers have been transferred from the general ward of Adelabad Prison in Shiraz to an "unknown location."
