Ukraine Flight 752 black box analysis complete

The French Civil Aviation Safety Investigation and Analysis Office has announced the completion of the process of reading the black box of the Ukrainian plane shot down by the IRGC missile system.

At the same time, on Thursday, August 2nd, the Twitter page of the Iranian embassy in France confirmed this issue, citing Bahram Ghasemi, Tehran's ambassador to Paris, and announced, "A delegation consisting of managers of the Civil Aviation Organization and a number of Iranian experts who had begun the work of reading and analyzing the recovered findings in order to read the black boxes of the crashed Ukrainian plane at the center of the French Civil Aviation Safety Investigation and Analysis Office, finished their work today after several days of intensive effort."

Bahram Ghasemi has said that the black boxes are in the possession of the Iranian side after being read, and that the necessary measures will be taken in accordance with international and conventional professional standards.

Iran says that according to international law, the results of the reading of the black box data from the plane shot down by the Revolutionary Guards' missile system must be announced by the Islamic Republic itself.

Meanwhile, the Association of Families of the Victims of Flight 752 called on Thursday for an impartial and comprehensive investigation into the "crime of downing this plane," referring to the re-reading of the Ukrainian plane's black box in France.

A statement from the association noted that the families of the plane's victims requested the presence of a representative on their behalf during the reading of the black box data, but this request was not granted.

Iran concealed the missile launch against the Ukrainian plane for three days, but after foreign intelligence agencies released evidence of the launch, it admitted to shooting down the Ukrainian plane.

Iran also finally handed over the black box to France for analysis on Friday, July 17, six months after the downing of Flight 752, which killed 176 Iranian, Afghan, British, Canadian, and Ukrainian citizens. Previously, Iran insisted that the technology for reading the black boxes be made available to the Islamic Republic and that the analysis process be carried out within the country.

Iranian officials say that "human error and forgetting to perform the required steps after moving one of the air defense systems" caused the Ukrainian plane to be targeted by the Revolutionary Guards' anti-aircraft system, but the Association of Families of the Victims of Flight 752, citing evidence such as "leaving Iran's skies open in dangerous war conditions, allowing the Ukrainian Airlines plane to fly, firing several missiles at the plane, quickly destroying the crash site, and intimidating witnesses and suppressing families," has emphasized that they were not simply "happy" with the information obtained through the black box.

Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne also announced on Monday that he did not give "much credence" to Iran's report in this regard and that this "cannot just be human error."
