Message from Queen Farah Pahlavi: Nowruz is a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness

In her annual Nowruz message, Queen Farah Pahlavi expressed her sympathy for Iranians who lost their loved ones this year and expressed hope that better days await them.

In a statement and audio message, a copy of which was sent to Voice of America, Queen Farah Pahlavi says: The arrival of Nowruz is a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness, and the renewal of the New Year is an opportunity to strengthen ties and develop cooperation. I sincerely hope that this Nowruz will be the beginning of better years for our compatriots, accompanied by health, happiness, and joy. In despair, there is much hope.
