Which metal production companies in Iran were sanctioned by the US?

On Thursday, July 25, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Iran's main metal production companies and their subsidiaries and affiliates.

“The Iranian regime continues to use profits from its metal producers and foreign sales agents to finance destabilizing behavior around the world,” said US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in a statement.

On May 8, 2019, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order imposing sanctions on Iran's steel, iron, aluminum, and copper industries.

This order by President Trump is cited in US Treasury Department documents as "Executive Order 13871".

The order came exactly one year after the US President withdrew from the deal on May 8, 2018, arguing that the Islamic Republic was violating the spirit of the nuclear deal by continuing its ballistic missile program and malign behavior in the region. President Trump not only reinstated sanctions that had been lifted with the implementation of the deal, but also imposed new sanctions on the Iranian regime.
