Kermanshah: Suspect arrested for murdering ex-wife and her family

The police commander of Kermanshah province announced the arrest of a man who attempted to murder his ex-wife, mother, and sister.
According to HRANA news agency, citing ISNA, the man accused of murdering his ex-wife, mother, and sister was arrested in Kermanshah.
Ali Akbar Javidan stated: "After a family massacre occurred in Pardis town, Kermanshah, and the matter was reported to the police, teams of officers quickly arrived at the scene."
He continued: "In the initial police investigation, it was determined that the suspect was the former son-in-law of the family and the niece of one of the victims, who had separated from his wife, who was the daughter of the family, about five years ago."
The Kermanshah provincial police commander stated: "Police investigations showed that the defendant entered the house as a guest and, under some pretext, stayed at the victims' house to sleep at night."
Javidan recalled: The family's former son-in-law shot his 31-year-old ex-wife, his 55-year-old mother-in-law, who was also his aunt, and his 35-year-old sister-in-law in the middle of the night with a Colt gun he was carrying, killing all three.
He continued: "Another unfortunate aspect of this painful incident is the presence of a six-year-old boy, the common child of the murderer and the victim, in the house at the time of the crime. After the shootings and his father's escape, he was confronted with the bodies of his mother, grandmother, and aunt, all covered in blood."
He continued: "Upon completing the investigation, the police were able to arrest the accused."
He recalled: The arrested defendant initially confessed to the murder of his ex-wife, mother, and sister-in-law, and during initial interrogations, he stated that his motive for this act was the hatred and grudge he had against them.
