Corona in Iran; Observation of Indian and South African virus

The Iranian Ministry of Health announced that more than 9,600 new cases and 170 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. 16 cities are still in red status, some of which are struggling with the Indian and South African virus.

In the latest ranking of coronavirus cases in Iranian cities, the Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic announced a red status in 16 cities: Gonabad (Khorasan Razavi), Omidieh and Hendijan (Khuzestan), Iranshahr, Chabahar and Nikshahr (Sistan and Baluchestan), Paveh (Kermanshah), Bastak, Bandar Lengeh, Bandar Abbas, Parsian, Jask, Hajiabad, Rudan, Qeshm and Minab (Hormozgan).

According to ISNA, some red counties are facing the spread of the Indian and South African virus, and if health protocols are not followed, the possibility of a new wave of Corona is serious.

In total, there are currently 16 red counties, 201 orange counties, and 231 counties in yellow status.

Number of infected and dead in one day

The Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health announced that so far, 4 million 35 thousand 388 people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 532 thousand 929 people have received the second dose, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the country to 4 million 568 thousand 317 doses.

The institution adds that from June 12 to 13, 2021, based on definitive diagnostic criteria, 9,657 new patients with COVID-19 were identified in the country, of which 1,400 were hospitalized.

Thus, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the country reached two million, 945,100.

Over the past 24 hours, 170 COVID-19 patients have died, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease to 80,658.

The Ministry of Health says that so far, 2,508,907 patients have recovered or been discharged from hospitals. 3,924 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in intensive care units in hospitals.
