A Kolbar was killed by military forces in Sardasht

On Wednesday, February 5, a kolbar lost his life following direct fire from military forces in the border areas of Sardasht County.
According to HRANA News Agency, citing Kurdpa, on Wednesday, February 15, 2020, a kolbar lost his life due to direct fire from military forces.
His identity has been identified as Khaled Ahmadpour, married, from the village of Wardeh, Sardasht County.
Kolbari is a false and arduous job that people in border areas turn to due to a lack of job opportunities, and dozens of people are killed or injured every year in the face of natural hazards or as a result of shooting by border guards.
Part of the annual report on the human rights situation in Iran, specifically for 2020, focuses on citizens who have been killed or injured by military forces.
In addition to material damages, the killing of pack animals, and accidents including frostbite and avalanches, this report records the killing of 36 Kolbars (border porters) and the injury of 109 of them by border and law enforcement forces.
It should be noted that 9 other Kolbars also suffered accidents due to climatic and geographical conditions, such as frostbite and falling from a height, of which 4 Kolbars were injured and 5 Kolbars died.
