Islamic State group threatens Iran in "Persian-language video"

Reports indicate that the Islamic State group, ISIS, in an unprecedented move, released a video in Persian, threatening Iran on Monday, April 27.
According to AFP, this 36-minute video, titled "Persian Country; From Yesterday to Today," was published on the social media of the Islamic State group in the Diyala province of Iraq.
According to the report, a man with his face covered reads a message addressed to Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This person said: "O Khamenei, you cursed person who controls the so-called Islamic Republic, be assured that we will soon destroy your house on your head."
The AFP also says that the video footage shows several captives, and one of them has the words "Ya Hussein" written on his clothes.
Iran is a major backer of the Iraqi government in its fight against the Islamic State group, and has helped organize Iraqi Shiite militias in the fight against ISIS. Iran is also a major backer of Bashar al-Assad's government in the Syrian civil war, sending troops to the country.
According to AFP, in the video, the Islamic State group accused Iran of suppressing Sunnis in the country for centuries.
One of the men in the video said: "We will conquer Iran and return this country to the Sunnis as it was before."
The video also criticized the Iranian government's tolerance towards Jews.
The narrator of the video states: "Iran chants slogans against America and Israel, but Jews in this country are safe and protected, and they have their synagogues and places of worship in Isfahan and Tehran."
Iranian domestic news agencies, including Fars, ILNA, Mehr, and Mizan, have reported the release of this video belonging to the Islamic State group.
Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, said in August last year that the Islamic State group (ISIS) had attracted a number of its forces from Qasr Shirin and Naftshahr.
Qasr Shirin and Naftshahr are both located in Kermanshah Province and on the border with Iraq.
