Continued Protest Gatherings of Telecommunications Company Retirees in Various Cities

Protest gatherings of retirees from the Telecommunications Company continue in various cities.

Months have passed since protest gatherings by retirees from various organizations, and yet no action has been taken to pay their outstanding claims and overdue wages. For this reason, these gatherings continue in different cities.

Today, Monday, July 10, 2023 (19 Tir 1402), a large number of retirees from the Telecommunications Company in the provinces of Khuzestan, Razavi Khorasan, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Shiraz, and Tehran held protest gatherings in front of the Telecommunications Company buildings in their respective provinces.

Holding protest placards, they demanded payment of medical claims, treatment expenses, overdue wages for several years, and more.

The non-payment of retirees’ rights and wages comes as more than 9 months have passed since the start of nationwide protests, and the Islamic Republic system has spent considerable sums to suppress the people. Sums that belong to the hard-working people are being spent on purchasing suppression forces and suppression equipment.
