Horrific Murder of 16-Year-Old Bita in Roudsar

Bita, a 16-year-old girl from Roudsar, was killed in a horrific manner.

According to reports published on social media networks, Bita’s murder was one of the most horrific killings recently in Gilan. Bita was killed by a boy who was referred to as the victim’s friend.

According to statements from local witnesses, the perpetrator, after nearly killing Bita with knife wounds in an old school in the Chuka neighborhood, cut open her abdomen and, by pouring gasoline inside Bita’s stomach, set her on fire. The young man then revealed the crime by sending a video of Bita’s charred body to his mother. Residents of the Chuka neighborhood, who noticed smoke coming from the abandoned school, went there and upon seeing Bita’s burned body, reported it to police.

Colonel Safavi, commander of police in Roudsar, announced the arrest of the perpetrator identified as “Amir. Sh” and said: “During police operations, one hour after the body was discovered at the Chuka neighborhood guesthouse, the perpetrator was arrested by local police forces at his hideout, and the victim’s mobile phone was also recovered from the perpetrator. Both the perpetrator and victim are originally from ‘Pareshsar’.”

Additionally, according to other reports obtained through investigation by the victim’s family, the perpetrator was not her friend but had been engaged to 21-year-old Amir some time ago and they were supposed to marry soon. In recent weeks, we have witnessed the killings of girls who became victims of child marriage, killed by their spouses or their fathers and brothers, or who took their own lives.

So far, no information about the motive for this murder has been obtained, and only 5 people have been detained regarding the case, with police investigations continuing to reach final conclusions.
