Neglect of Ibrahim Firouzi’s Medical Condition in Rajai Shahr Prison

Ibrahim Firouzi, a young Christian prisoner held in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj, has faced neglect and lack of attention from the prison’s medical staff.

Ibrahim Firouzi, a young Christian and prisoner of conscience in Rajai Shahr Prison, has been suffering from pain in his left chest area for more than a year, struggling to cope with the condition. Despite the worsening of his illness over the past three months, he has faced indifference from prison officials and medical personnel.

During this period, the prisoner has only undergone one blood test, and the prison clinic has summoned him again for another examination, but the guard officer refuses to send the prisoner to the clinic.

In his latest ruling, Ibrahim Firouzi was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Moghisseh.

On March 8, 2015, he was tried by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Moghisseh, on charges of “actions against national security through assembly and conspiracy,” and for the first time met with his lawyer during the court session.

This young Christian, who was arrested on August 24, 2013, has a history of multiple arrests. He was previously sentenced by the Rayy Revolutionary Court to one year in prison and two years of exile to Sarbaaz City. However, despite his sentence ending on January 13 of last year, he remains in prison pending the finalization of a verdict in a new case that has been filed against him.

Ibrahim Firouzi is currently held in Ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison, in violation of the principle of separation of charges.
