Suicide of a Teenage Boy in Babol

On Sunday, the 30th of Shahrivar, an approximately 18-year-old boy in Babol committed suicide with a hunting rifle and lost his life. The share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides has been reported by the Forensic Medicine Organization to be over 7 percent.
According to a report by Hrana news agency, citing IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), a teenager approximately 18 years old from Babol committed suicide in the last days of Shahrivar this year and lost his life.
The public relations office of Babol Emergency announced: “On Sunday, the 30th of Shahrivar, at 2:06 PM, a report was received of an approximately 18-year-old boy committing suicide with a hunting rifle in Amir Kola.”
Based on this report, in this incident unfortunately the teenager shot himself in the head with a hunting rifle, and due to the severity of the injuries and bleeding, he showed no vital signs.
Following this news, the cause of the young man’s suicide was announced on social media as failure in the national university entrance exam (Konkur). However, the Information Center of Mazandaran Police, while confirming the death of the 18-year-old boy identified as Syed H-H with a hunting rifle, stated that the cause of this young man’s suicide has not yet been determined.
