Is currency more obligatory for the Arbaeen circus or for the people?

The Governor of the Central Bank considered providing foreign exchange for the Arbaeen circus more necessary than providing it for the people's problems.

The Governor of the Central Bank, while emphasizing the need for special attention from banks and credit institutions in distributing and providing Arbaeen currency, called for speeding up the provision of Arbaeen currency to pilgrims and said: "Banks should, through a well-planned plan, provide Arbaeen currency in an appropriate manner, prevent queues and congestion in branches in this regard, and use electronic banking platforms in this area."

According to the Central Bank's public relations, Mohammad Reza Farzin, while referring to the designation of six agent banks: Sepah, Melli, Tejarat, Post Bank, Saderat, and Parsian, to supply Arbaeen currency, said: "In the recent Central Bank's circular to these banks, it has been ordered that their on-call branches sell Arbaeen currency in person by 6:00 PM on weekdays."

The acceleration of the sale of foreign currency to pilgrims for the Arbaeen ceremony has provoked public reaction. Social media users, while posting messages referring to the dispatch of ambulances and medicine for the Arbaeen ceremony, reacted to the supply of foreign currency to pilgrims, stating: "Is currency more necessary for the Arbaeen circus or currency for medicine, for the hungry children of Balochistan and the south of the country, for the protection of border guards, for saving Lake Urmia, and so on?"
