From the protest square to the spiritual birth of "Ali Rezaeimajd" in Christ

Christian citizen Ali Rezaei-Majd tells the story of his experience in street protests to his spiritual birth in Christ, a story of faith, danger, and hope in the midst of exile, which brought about a profound transformation in him.

After experiencing the tense days of nationwide protests and being forced to leave the country, Iranian bodybuilding coach Ali Rezaei spoke to CBN News about a path that fundamentally changed his life; a path that began on the burning streets of Iran and led to a profound experience of Christian faith abroad.

He was a bodybuilder in the city of Dorud before leaving Iran. During the protests, he encountered scenes of violence and repression that had a profound impact on his outlook on life and the future. Losing friends and witnessing harsh treatment prompted him to release a video in English to tell the world about the conditions of the Iranian people. This action received widespread coverage and quickly exposed him to security threats.

After the video was released, he was forced to leave the country immediately, after being warned by those around him. His departure from Iran was fraught with difficulties and dangers; a journey that, through secret movements and unsafe routes, ultimately led him to Iraq.

However, what stands out most about this journey was not just the escape from physical dangers, but an inner transformation that took place over many years. In this interview, Ali reveals that he had been secretly inclined towards the Christian faith for about a decade, but was unable to express it publicly due to the restrictions and dangers that existed.

The journey finally reached a turning point on March 7, when he was baptized in the simple, unassuming atmosphere of a house church in Iraq, formally declaring his faith. The moment symbolized for him the liberation from fear and the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Now known as “Michael,” he continues his activities with a different approach. According to his statements, he is currently with a Kurdish group in Iraq, preparing himself to play a role in Iran’s future, a role that, according to him, is rooted in Christian beliefs and teachings based on forgiveness and responsibility.

In part of his speech, he emphasizes: "As a Christian, I forgive all the members of the IRGC and I will pray for them every day. But I think I am like a sheepdog to God. A sheepdog sometimes has to protect the sheep. So I think this is what I have to do."

The life story of Ali Rezaeimajd is a portrait of the intersection of difficult human experiences with the search for a deeper meaning in faith; a path in which suffering, exile, and danger become a platform for the formation of hope and the redefining of life's purpose. This story shows that even in circumstances filled with pressure and insecurity, the search for truth and faith can become a force for continuing the path and persevering.
