Teachers' protests continue in various cities of Iran

In continuation of the union rallies, a number of teachers gathered in front of the parliament in Tehran and the education departments in the cities of Isfahan, Shiraz, Rasht, Bandar Abbas, and Ahvaz on Sunday, October 1, demanding the implementation of the teacher ranking plan and the payment of their wage and insurance arrears.
These teachers are demanding an increase in their salaries to 80% of the salaries of university faculty members. The government and parliament have proposed a 20-25% increase in teachers' salaries, but the teachers are still demanding the full implementation of the ranking and equalization plan.
As poverty spreads and economic problems among various segments of the population, including teachers, intensify, protest rallies have continued in various parts of Iran, and teachers' rights have not changed based on the Fundamental Reform of Education document.
