Increasing pressure on Nahid Khodajo to enforce prison sentence

Due to pressure from security and judicial institutions to enforce the prison sentence of Nahid Khodajoo, a member of the board of directors of the Free Workers Union of Iran, her bank account into which her pension is deposited was blocked. Last month, the judiciary sent the last warning to the bailiff of this labor activist, stating that the deposited bail would be confiscated. This is while Ms. Khodajoo refuses to return to prison due to the critical conditions of the Corona virus in prisons. Nahid Khodajoo was previously sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment by the Tehran Revolutionary Court, and the sentence was confirmed in the appeals court.
According to HRANA news agency, citing the Free Union of Iranian Workers, the bank account of Nahid Khodajoo, a member of the board of directors of the Free Union of Iranian Workers, was frozen due to pressure from security and judicial institutions. Last month, the judiciary sent the last warning to the bailiff of this labor activist, stating that the deposited bail would be confiscated.
Pressure has been increasing on Ms. Khodajo to enforce her 6-year prison sentence.
This is despite the fact that this labor activist is refusing to visit prison due to the critical coronavirus conditions in prisons.
Ms. Khodajoo was arrested on May 1, 2019, coinciding with International Labor Day, in front of the parliament building, and was released on June 4, 2019, after posting bail and pending the completion of the trial.
Then, on August 1, 2019, this citizen was tried in Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of gathering and colluding to act against national security and disrupt public order and peace, and was ultimately sentenced to 6 years in prison and 74 lashes. The verdict was confirmed in the appeals court without him or his lawyer being present.
Finally, on April 17, 2020, Nahid Khodajoo was summoned to the Evin Court's Sentence Enforcement Branch to serve her sentence.
