Ali Khamenei leads funeral prayers for Ismail Haniyeh in a secure atmosphere, but with fear and concern

The funeral prayer ceremony for Ismail Haniyeh, led by Ali Khamenei, was held at Tehran University in a completely secure atmosphere, but with fear and concern.

This morning, Thursday, August 11, Ali Khamenei performed the funeral prayer over the body of Ismail Haniyeh in a completely secure environment. Videos of Ali Khamenei performing the prayer have been released on social media, showing Ali Khamenei's fear and worry and his strange gazes at the ceiling and surroundings. The video has attracted the attention of many users on social media, most of whom attributed the "frightened gazes" to Ali Khamenei.

The body of Ismail Haniyeh, the political director of Hamas's office, was transferred under security conditions to the sports field where Friday prayers were held at Tehran University. The ceremony was attended by senior Hamas members Masoud Pezzekian, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, and Khalil al-Hayyah.

According to published reports, the government of the Islamic Republic has banned flights over central Tehran and the area around Tehran University to Ali Khamenei's house from 6 am today until 12 noon, and all flights, including drones, over this area have also been banned. In addition, air defense systems have been deployed in the area.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, was the speaker at the funeral ceremony of Ismail Haniyeh at Tehran University. While implicating the US in this assassination, he promised revenge and said: "All responsibilities for these incidents lie with the criminal America, and nothing happens without the coordination and support of the criminal America. We know and are sure that all these incidents, whether overt or covert, are in its hands and with its guidance and coordination."

Qalibaf emphasized that they have a duty to react at the appropriate time and place, adding: "It is very bitter for us that our guest is martyred in our home and makes us mourn and grieve."
