Travel to the US by senior Iranian officials is being restricted and canceled

The US President accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of supporting and supporting terrorism. According to Trump's new order, the entry and travel of Iranian government officials and their immediate family members to the United States will be limited or canceled.

US President Donald Trump's announcement imposing new restrictions on travel to the United States by senior Iranian government officials and their immediate family members comes at a time when a number of Iranian government officials are in the United States.

On Thursday, September 26, Reuters reported from the United Nations in New York that the US government has imposed new restrictions on the travel and entry of senior Iranian government officials and their immediate families to the United States.

These restrictions apply to anyone entering the United States, whether as an immigrant or a nonimmigrant. The anticipated restrictions include senior Iranian government officials and their family members.

This is while Hassan Rouhani, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and a number of senior Iranian politicians are currently in the United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly.

Reason for the new restrictions

In explaining the executive order restricting the travel of Iranian officials to the United States, Donald Trump has stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports and supports terrorism, arbitrarily imprisons American citizens, threatens its neighbors, and also carries out cyberattacks.

Trump has stated that, departing from the aforementioned cases, it is in the interests of the United States to foresee such restrictions. It is said that the task of determining who these restrictions apply to lies with the US State Department.

The anticipated restrictions will remain in effect as long as the US Department of State does not change this notice.

A senior US State Department official said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has been attacking the United States, criticizing it, and acting against its interests for years. While the Iranian regime's leaders and their family members abuse the freedom and prosperity of this country."
