Transfer of "Ghorban Behzadiannejad" to Evin Prison to serve his sentence

"Ghorban Behzadiannejad" was sent to Evin Prison to serve his prison sentence.

Today, Saturday, April 15, 1403, Ghorban Behzadiannejad was sent to Evin Prison to serve his one-year sentence on charges of propaganda against the regime.

Ghorban Behzadiannejad, a senior advisor and head of Mir Hossein Mousavi's election campaign, was sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 36 of the Tehran Provincial Court of Appeal in 2020 for the so-called "Statement of 77 People" and for propaganda against the regime through participation in the Dialogue to Save Iran conference. He also has a history of previous convictions for his activities.

The trial hearing for this political activist's charges was held in July of last year at Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. Based on the verdict issued by this branch, he was sentenced to one year of penal servitude.

And finally, today, Saturday, April 15, he went to Evin Prison to serve his one-year sentence.

For the Islamic Republic, it does not matter what class the accused are from, or even whether they are former or current government agents. Any person who protests or opposes the system or expresses their opposition is subject to questioning, arrest, repression, torture, and various convictions.
